Newb here with a question...
« on: January 29, 2012, 08:35:58 PM »
First time poster here....duh! :)

I'm fairly technical person and am wanting to get into doing a simple rapid fire mod to my xbox 360 controller. It is the wireless Matrix version.

I play only Call of Duty titles and mainly the latest one MW3. Im looking for the easiest best way to get rapid fire working on what I have.

From what i read it seems they limit the fire rate differently on each gun now is that correct?

I do NOT have the hardware to program chips here but I can solder if need be. I'm not looking to spend a ton on this otherwise id just go out and get a viking controller and sit back. I've seen a ton of those old videos where they just hooked a button and two wires up to the board, but I assume that no longer works at all now, least with the game I mentioned above. But please tell me if any of that is wrong.

Is the intensafire rapid fire kit a joke or is that one actually legit and will work with MW3 fully?

I actually have 2 matrix controllers and 1 CG2 all wireless if it makes a difference though I only want to mod one of them.

I've spent some time around searching on here and it just seems like the mods for this are all over the place, hence my question.

Thanks in advance!

These rf kits are not to hard to put together. The trick is getting your chip programmed. You can find a BIY programmer on this site and all the code you need to get programming. The wiring and such is diagrammed out. I personally like topfire, but crazy modders is good I hear.

thanks for the response so quick.

is the intesafire "stealth" or are any of them out there now stealth at all? OR is it all controlled now by just the FPS caps and if your mod your using is higher than the cap it just wont work?

the other one i saw was very similar to the intensafire and that was the Arbiter 3. looks like same concept b/w the two there with a little more features on the later one no?

The differences are usually in the programming. Some use different chips all together. Some need more pins to do more stuff. If you look at the acid mods free source material you will find a chip and code and install that will fit your needs . If not you will have to learn how to write code to make your own custom rf code. Finding a coder is hard.
Before you get started I recommend you view
link
each one should have install instructions.
