Lego Star wars PS3 controller

My son requested this, just a lil while ago, when he seen the joystick I used to make a quick basic lego controller a ways back. (few have seen)
I had him say it again for the camera but this was all his idea. I am up for any ideas. I do know I will be making a glowing light saber joystick. I might make it so it has RGB behind it so he can change the color of his light saber.

this sounds amazing, how about using bricks as the triggers. thats all i got at the moment but ill think more later

This would be an  awesome idea.

You can create a CAD first with lego software to figure out what lego parts is needed to create a 3D ps3 controller then form thier add on to make it starwars with vader and yoda and light sabor with working lights. Your son is awesome btw great idea and a  for him

Thanks guys. I think Rodent got to see the first one i mocked up a while back. I found a wired board but I think I'll use his arcade pad. He likes using the big joy stick. I am thinking of building a lego shell around the arcade stick board.  The buttons are solderd to the board directly. They can be removed but i think i will try to keep them, just lable them better.
