Xbox 360 Controller LED swap problems? Dim LED? Blue
« on: December 19, 2012, 05:38:49 PM »
I know that the blue LEDs take more power and thats fine, i can use AAs or my PnC cable, but thats not what i mean by dim. My player 3 led is dimmer than the others, and when i touch it with a hot soldering iron it gets brighter, and when i move it it goes back dim. Ive read some forums about this but there were no answers of any help. Maybe someone on here has a solution or explanation

Thanks, Devin.

I would take it off and start over. If you can salvage the led then try it again after you clean up the traces. LED may have got to hot and dimmed.

i might just buy a whole new set or two, ill probably do my other controller as well haha. If the led was messed up idk why it gets brighter when i solder it.

add solder to both sides of the led. you have a poor connection.
