Can you remove this metal piece on wireless controller?
« on: January 07, 2013, 09:20:34 AM »
On my wireless controller i added a tactical button under the top plate so it looks like a secondary sync button
and it has been working great for over a year now but the problem is there is a a lot of pressure on the
wires from this stupid metal plate that is in the way an i can't see that it does a whole lot....? has anyone ever removed it?
This This controller has bad solder pads for the left trigger so i got new controller i'm going to transfer
everything to just want to see if i can remove this first!

I could be completely wrong, but I think that is the antenna for the wireless.

yeah you can remove it and just solder Wire to the Point and Run it Under the Board or some where out of your way

This Fix is also What we use to Fix the range on the Gold and Chrome Case which the Paint Blocks the signal

and you have no range, This Will no Increase the Range of Stock Controller in any Shape Just Improve when using

after market case Like does cheap Gold and Chrome case.

Thanks To RDC for the Picture .

Thanks for the help! I ended up not moving it with a wire I took an trimmed it down with a dremel to get enough room for my switch and the wires it worked like a charm!

i cut mine almost all the way off the other day, i didnt know it was the antenna, i had to make room for my switch, i will now DEFINITELY put a wire there to extend the range back...
