Nice build, but is it me or could you have soldered to the top pad of D14 instead of to the via?

I haven't tested it yet (because I don't have the console) but I think ita right. In the scan boards that's the point

EDIT: I can confirm the controller works fine.

Yeah it looks as though it would work fine, my point was that it would be easier to solder to the D14 pad instead of scraping off the carbon ink and soldering to the copper underneath. If you scrape too much ink off, the button will cease to work.

Does this mod really work? I have seen a few people do this but they remove some of the black from the front of the button and solder there. If this way is the best to do were do you pick the ground feed from.

Yes there are people who do it as you describe but with that way sometimes buttons don't work well becuase you have to solder a wire where the blacks parts were.

If you see RDC's scan boards you can see GND points

I bet you had an issue with your mic not plugging smoothly or at all, with your tac  switches being so low in the bottom shell! For anyone attempting this try to mount the tacs up higher closer to the tangs of the battery cover! Scuf is a very misleading company when it comes to tearing apart one of there xb1 controllers due to the fact the whole bottom shell is custom made for them plus I've seen the difference inside of a Pro sponsored players controller with a Scuf that was bought (Side by Side) & There is a HUGE difference in craftsmanship between the two!

Also the top D14 is the perfect place to hookup the B switch which looks a lot cleaner but it completely upto the builder! Just Say'in!! :hifive:

The paddles are a mod that makes pressing the Tact switch easier and also feels better then pressing a tact switch alone. The tact switch is the actual button that has performed the function of the face button. The main point of the mod is to allow the player to not require to take their thumb off the thumbstick, this especially useful in games such as call of duty where you must continue to adjust your aim while performing other actions.
