PSP Battery Help?

So I hooked up a very small 3.7v battry to the psp go to make room for hardware mods. One question is, what is the white wire for?

the white cable is to balance the cells which is very crucial

What will happen? Will it overheat or drain faster? This battery doesn't have it a white wire so is there anyway to hook it up to the red and black so it will work?

Also from the pic that looks like a tiny lipo. You are not going to get much play time out of that. It looks smaller than what comes in the ps3 controllers.
But I give you bonus points though cause that is one of the few spots to make up space in the pspgo.

Surprisingly I got 3 hours on GTA Vice City with Volume all the way up and brightness, It could keep going probably but eventually I didnt want to play anymore.

With this free space I could add a small camera, the one from the chotto shot.

what is the APH of the lipo? it should be somewhere around 850. if this is so, that battery would work fine, except for that white wire. THe white wire is a monitor for the charging circuit. you are going to have alot of problems charging this battery inside the psp go. there will be nothing telling the charger that the battery is charged which will over charge and kill the battery. you need to get a three wire battery or design your own charging circuit.

What does APH mean?(Kinda a noob) And for charging I let it charge for a Hour maybe hour in a half. Are There any circuits you know of that could work in this case?

none the less, it means mili ampre hour. this a measurement of the storage capacity of the battery.

battery #1 has a rating of 3.7V 850MAH
battery #2 has a rating of 3.7V 1000MAH

They both will power the same device with exactly the same amount of power (3.7V) but battery #2 will last longer between charge because it has a higher storage capacity which is measured in mili amp hours.

The lipo charger by 3d0 that RDC revised is a stand alone charger. Unfortunately this charger is not designed to be built into anything, you would have to remove the battery from the psp every time you had to charge it. As mat set google would be your best option at this point.

500mAh means if your circuit draws 500mA of constant current at 3.7V it should run out of charge in 1 hour, and so it follows that if you draw a constant 250mA then it will last 2 hours. Of course this isn't entirely true, since we all know that batteries are anything but constant and their voltage changes over time, but it's as good an estimate of capacity (charge) that the manufacturer gives us.

Okay, well my second option is taking apart the psp go and then putting it in a case that opens and closes like a laptop. I could fit everything I need in it and maybe a better battery.
