Tact switches

Does the tact switches need to be programmed to work the rapid fire.

to elaborate on the answer above, There is nothing to program on a tact switch. It as the name states, a switch. on/off. 

But, The programming comes in when you start to discuss what the tact is turning on and off. the tact switch is only an input device connected to the programmed microchip that handles the rapid fire, so no, the switches are not programmed, but what they connect to must be.

So your saying that the tact switches does not need to be program. So if I do rapid fire for the wii only the 8 pin dip needs to code and the wires connected to switch will work. Thanks

No need to program the Tact switch (its not programmable) the  8 pin chip is what you program  and  to explain what modded matt was saying was that  some hex codes can be made that where the when you press the tact switch it will change modes to turn on modes  pr turn modes off that are programmed.
