[FIXED] PSP Slim will not turn on or charge!
« on: March 22, 2015, 10:41:02 AM »
Basically what happened was that when trying to get my UMD Laser to work, some foil or my screwdriver must have touched the motherboard and it must have touched the power fuse that is sadly right next to one of the sensors for the UMD Drive (it was also assembled, i didnt have to take it apart). The PSP was on and charging (Stupid, i know).  The PSP turned off and it wouldn't turn on. I immediately took out the foil, battery, and charger. I put the battery and charger back in and it turned on. I then proceeded to try again and the same thing happened again, except now it wont turn on or charge. I took a picture of the fuse and i put it below. I thought the fuse may be the problem but it looks fine to me. Nothing is burnt as well.
Please help me out here!

It's a silver PSP 2001, the one that came with Daxter.

Here is a picture of the other side of the board if it helps.

Edit FIXED!
Problem was slightly fixed for those with the same issue. I borrowed my friends battery and everything except the screen worked. I must have messed it up. It was the backlight.
