1708 only LT vibrates when pressed after LED mod
« on: June 22, 2021, 11:00:19 AM »
Hi everyone

Recently did a custom LED buttons mod on an S controller and made sure they light up correctly with volt meter, but when I put it back together it didn't light up (it used to function normally).

I tested the capacitors for short and they seemed fine, the wires I soldered the LED buttons are TP9 for power and TP7 for ground.

Has this issue happened to anyone else?

No need for cross posting.

TP9 is the 3.3v rail for most of the controller, TP7 is the 3.5v rail for the motors, so no idea why you chose that combination.

Remove everything that you did in there first and test the controller.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

I was just looking for a constant power point and a ground so when I saw those I thought it could work lol.

I desoldered these points and its the same issue, just LT vibrates when pressed nothing else lights up

also tried removing antenna from first PCB, same issue, forgot to mention I also replaced both sticks
