1698 Elite LB broken
« on: June 14, 2023, 09:11:06 AM »
I check the SW1 (LB) button with a multimeter - it works. I check the chain from the top to the bottom board (in the area of R32 and C54) - everything is fine. But where does the path go next? I stop at a point near the R32 marking, the circuit is working, but where does it go next?

I haven't stripped that board down, but it goes to the MCU, just taking an internal layer.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

Not really given it's a BGA package. The 1697 and 1698 I've seen more than a few that need the MCU reflowed to correct one issue or another.
