Transfer Music to your Ipod!
« on: July 22, 2007, 08:34:32 AM »
Hey Guys & Gals, I was helping cyber today with a problem that he was having with itunes. Itunes was not letting him transfer MP3's to his new Ipod Video . It Kept on coming up with that he needs to re-rip the CD's or Buy them from Itunes. But That was just taking the  p i s s because he had ripped 120 cd's to his hard drive and we dont like downloading music illegaly. So i done some Research on the net and found a program that let cyber transfer the music to his Ipod Video without Itunes and we thought that we would post it here so it would help you guys out aswell! The Program is Called Vpod.

vPod is a program for transferring music to your iPod from Windows. It presents a unified view of all of your music and lets you see what is and what is not already on your iPod. I think that it's a much more intuitive interface for managing what is available on your iPod than the existing solutions.
vPod is free software. It is licensed under the Free BSD license so that as many people as possible can benefit from it.

i like to use winamp with an ipod plugin(forget what its called, shouldnt be hard to find on the winamp site)
also, with alt. firmwares (rockbox) you can drag and drop into the music folder.
Dont let the b******'s grind you down!

cut me some slack, all my modding experience is with ipods.

I use winamp too, the larest updates have built in support for iPods, but I find theres problems. So I use the lm_pod plugin, it works perfect;y an gives you a lot more freedom than iTunes.

You might want to try Sharepod - it resides on the iPod, so can be run from ANY pc.  Drag and drop to/from iPod plus more...

umm actually if we are on the same page all u have to do iz:
-plug in ur old ipod to ur pc
-go to My Computer, click on it
-find ur ipod disk use icon, click it
-once urr in ull see allll these folders like "music'', ''notes'', ''calender'', ''contacts'' etc.
-go to tools on the top and select Folder options...
-then next to general select View
-skim down the list untill u see Hidden files and Folders
-select Show hidden files and folders and click ok or apply (how ever u want but u have to click ok)
-then exit til u hit ur ipod's diskdrive, ull now see more folders click on ipod control then music and there shuld be muchos e muchos folders. lol those will contain ur nusic and videos. Jus simply drag to computer and den drag on to ur new ipod and enjoy!!

This is also wrong. You can't use this to transfer TO an iPod.

I said don't bump the :censored:ing topic.
Also, no the iPod won't read it properly if you just copy music over.
