HELP I GOT A TROJAN!!!!!!!!!

I know what its called, but everytime i try and delete it, it says its in use with another program, its called 'hgghihh.dll' and its in the system32 folder. i have nod32, it isn't letting it infect another file but it keeps coming up asking my if it can download something because when i did a scan it says 'hgghihh.dll - trojan downloader'

how can i get rid of it?

umm reformat windows, you could try and use a different program such as avast

although reapers method will work you could've just gone into task manager -> processes and ended the process that was using that .dll and then no program is using it anymore and thus you can delete the file and BAM there goes your problem 

But if Reapers thing worked keep it in mind for a quiker solution for next time and use an effective antivirus, ive stuck with norton and quite frankly its worth  every cent, never had a virus problem cos they dont get through

no.most trojans and hard core viruses auto start...as in you end it,then within like 2 seconds its back up.a really good anti vurus prog or safe mode is really the only way.

pspkicks thats not entirely correct dude plus most antiviruses can block specific libraries (dll's) thus you can block it from starting, and do what i said, not a lot of trojans can autostart as they infect dll's and what do dll's need to run? A PROGRAM

maybe its not coming back that way

i got it the day i formatted, and ive finnally got ALL my stuff back on this computer so i dont want to format, maybe over weekend but not now, extremly busy with my layouts

I found the AVG products actually delete viruses compared to my norton. If that doesnt get it only way would be to reformat, or like reaper said a system restore may work to.

no i cant do system restore because the first day i formatted, i got the trojan, because i had to try and network the computers and i hate to use ie, dam, ms sucks, anyway i might format very soon, just need to back it all up

opera is actually is more secure and even if you use firefox you are still vulnerable to internet explorer exploits if you have it installed on your machine

I typically close my eyes and hide under the bed whenever i need to enter safe mode

i didnt download porn lol, i just needed to go on.. erm... torrent files using IE and no anti virus, because my mem stick was being gay, and a trojan got in

Even while I'm idling I still get viruses.  granted it's not the greatest but even when they do appear,  I just clean them up by doing a sweep once a week.

theres a program if anyone else needs it called delete on boot or something your com will thnk its a virus i think when you install it but its cool. it deletes thing next time you reboot before something starts you just check it off normally in windows then restart.

just get bruteforce next time it will delete any file no mater what it is great. used it all the time when i was dumb and a nood using limewire and getting lots of viruses. (i was running norton it stunk as well as pc cillin and mac free got lots of viruses. then went without an antivirus program no prob ever since.  no i use nod and kerspasky spelt something like that the best program out their. vista gets no viruses  but it realy is a pice of junk. pian in the butt to tell the truth. i use vista, mac(tiger for now soon leopard) linux, and xp all off my pc  with only 1.2 tb of space. quad booting. no usb ports working just firewire and security soft ware with no viruses on any partition.
