This is great news, as it means we will be seeing the White PS3 in UK soon, although i will be importing a White Dualshock 3!

or you could pay a premium and get an 80gb ps3 from colorwarepc.com and have it in almost any colour you want it.

same thing i rather just get a 80 gig ps3 buy 2 dualshock 3 controllers and send them in to get painted white or w.e color i want than pay for a white 40 gig

I wonder how they paint PS3s?  do they just paint the out side or do the do a clear case mod and paint the inside of that.

does any one even have a ps3 painted from that place I would like to see how well it came out.

they paint them using the same methods as anyone else, they just use high quality paint and professional equipment, much like a car would be painted...


the price on those PS3s really isn't that bad, at least they give you the option of 40 or 80GB...

Theyre molded plastic in the colour, then glossed.

BECAUSE The black PS3 is slightly transparent, and you cant get smooth transparent paint.

The White PS3 is a solid colour, but garuanteed its painted the same way.

actually we are both wrong, they do paint the exterior using a plastic impregnated paint, but then apply a proprietary plastic clear coat
