Psp built in Microphone?

I got an idea for a good mod.I have a Aspire 5610 laptop that has an embedded microphone,Its just an open hole next to the mouse pad.If someone could do the same to a psp,then you wouldnt have to use a headset,and just hear people through your speakers.Is this possibly?

just to throw this out there to get your gears turning, has anybody considered connecting a internal mic with the connections that the talkman and chotto shot use.  I dont know which they are maybe the guy who did the internal chotto mapped it out

for using the mic for chatting you would need to wire it to serial port.

here are the pinouts for the serial port.

the easiest way i can think of is to wire the digital ground, then the audio ground and mic signal to the mic, and then re-route the audio out back to the internal speakers. you would loose the headphone jack unless you routed a switch, and  used it as a pass through. that way you would have an always plugged in mic.

note: it might also be a good idea to put the mic on the top of the psp faceplate, as to keep feedback from happening with the mic.

im also in the midst of doing it with a cell phone mic for my psp cell phone combo mod , just to let you know . any thing i figure out with that ill let you know and feel free to do the same vise versa.

Yeah probley a closed topic by now but if anyone needs help ive done it on my phat, ill draw up a diagram its actually really easy, but i know it took me for ever to figure out the solder points.
