Yes you can run crysis on that. you can run 2 screens of that too.  with that card you don't have a problem.  and as long as since you will be getting at least 1 GB of ram, you should have more than enough for the min.

It will almost definitely be fine...although don't try and put it up to "Very High" in the detail etc settings. Some guy built a Super PC just for playing Crysis and it had a 3 card SLI setup, 1200W PSU, Quad Core CPU, copious quantities of RAM and he could still only get about 25-30 FPS!!!

Yeah, that PC will be running at the VERY LOW Settings, an 8800GT or 3850 is medium - medium high, and an 3870 is high, but nothing can reach VERY HIGH

yeah...but i gota 8600m gt, and it runs great

for one because i got this mod that changes some config settings so it looks good and runs better...and it works!

though i believe it could be faster because i have another mod that allows 'DX10 only' features working wtih my DX9...those i think slow it a tiny tiny bit...
but if you get the 'lexus silentium' (the configuration mod to make it run better) with that card and enough ram it should run rather well :)

Maybe if you only get 3 Sli 8800 Ultras, water cool them, overclock them all so much then get a quad core extreme and do the same with that, then you will reach the max settings.

actually i read somewhere that no commercial pc's have enough good specs n' whatnot to display very high settings at a remotely reasonable framerate...

its greyed out..so im guessing if it wasnt and it was applied, then you'd get like..hmm....2 fps

Also a 8800GTS is slightly better than a 8800GT by like 5%, but the advantage of the 8800GT is that its cheaper and it only takes one slot, so with the 780i motherboard, if 8800GT supports tri sli, then put 3 8800Gts and you still have space for sound cards etc

although as far as i know, i cannot find any 8800 gt water blocks, but if you overclock the hell out of it, you might be seeing speeds just under 8800 gtx

you wouldnt, its got less pipes and less stock clocked ram, so it would never reach GTX Speeds, a GTS May with Watercooling, as its similar to the GTX

Because the hardware is no where near good enough.

If you have an 8800 series, it will allow you to run at very high, but it will be unplayable. The Card Noah is using isnt powerful enough to even render the image quality on Very High, and all you will get is errors, so its greyed out.

Then how do crytek test it if no hardware is good enough? unless nvidia let them have a 9800ultra...

The Graphics cards designed for Art and Other Rendering, the Nvidia FX Series, would be just able to play it with a little jump.

so very true :'(
but with a few choices and configuration mods (like one allowing cool dx10 features, like the cool shadow lines from the sun or moon's direction) it will still look great and run great...so the cardthis guy wants i would say can do the job, if he makes good enough graphic configuration choices

I have a 8600GTS 512MB. I can run crysis on all low settings. Its very laggy and slow because I am running a Pentium Dand only 1GB of ram. :fear:
