apple store is booked solid untill tuesday

it stays at that grey screen with the apple logo and the gear at the bottom..

i called apple support and what they tried didnt work, so im probably gona have to reinstall leopard which is actually no biggie because i used time machine

though...i dont have a disk

however we are having a computer person come tomorrow, mac and pc, and then we are getting my dad a new imac, so that means it comes with leopard disk so i should be able to reinstall it or somthing....

If you took it to an Apple store, im guessing they would re-install leopard.

heres whats gona happen:
we're getting my dad's imac today, ill try to pull my harddrive back to one peice and reinstall. if we get osx back, but it still will not recognize windows, then i will have our local computer expert come and fix that

if that first option does not work, then tomorrow i will call in telling them about the case report i filed with apple corporate, and bring in my computer and have them replace the harddrive, which the guy on apple support said should be free

If your in your first year, anything that needs to be done to it should be free, but i suppose you caused this.

im not sure that it matters as long as its within the warranty period

I had some dual boot troubles that left me with a corrupted version of GRUB bootloader so i couldn't even get past the bios screen, and HP sent me a free copy of the Vista Ultimate install/restore disc

GRUB Bootloader is easy to get past, you just need the GRUB Fixer, and the PC to boot off of CD.

I got a case report from apple corporate

I'm going to see if its fixable tomorrow, if not I'm going to have it replaced which should be free because I also got extended warranty

This really sucks because its unusable and was the only thing distracting me from the fact I'm moving (boxes everywhere :'( )

well its a big yay if you get a new one ^^

I'll probably get an extended warranty when i get mine, seeing how if it needs replacing, they'll give you the latest model.
