I got a little bored today...

Well I got a little bored and I saw a R/C 4 Wheeler and a wireless cam sittin there and well you know, I had to mod!






Well, the cammera was ran off of a 9v Battery. I thought, why keep replacing the battery so I wired it into the battery so now I am battery free! I also modded the headlights. The lights were there, but they only came on when you drove forward, so I wired them so they are allways on when the 4 wheeler is on. The only problem I have now is that when I go forward or backward, the motors drain so much power that it makes the cammera shut off. I dont know if there is a way around that but let me know if anyone has any clue, cause its not good when ya cant see where your drivin! If anyone has anyother ideas of things I should do to it, let me know! Discuss

use a potentiometer to limit the current drawn from the movement motors, it will be slower but it won't drain as much to move!

or just unmod the lights >.<

Taking the lights off wouldnt change the available power much....

So rewire the 9 volt battery back in.

or juice it up and add a second more powerful battery and try not to blow up the circuits lol

Well as reaper said to do, I spliced in a pointameter into the power going to the drive engine, once I turn it from full power, the engine does not turn over anymore, it just makes a clicking noise and sits there. Any other ideas to fix this problem?

whenever i get bored i decide to do somthing that rocks the boat and breaks something to the point of almost no repair (in most cases destroying..) case and point my computer when i tried adding linux, and my psp when i tried adding an LED...

uhh so why do  they drain power, is it cuz of the cam?
u should add some leds too

Yeah, just add a identical battery (voltage wise) and hook it up in parallel to the current setup!
