We are looking for an addition to the Newspage jorunalism team, a new article of news has to be posted every 2 hours and we would like you to help with that. Please apply for a position here: If you are interested please post an article you have written and we will review it for quality and accuracy, the candidate will be chosen when we see someone fit for the positon. YOu must be on acidmods at least once a day, so that we can share the workload between the different news team members.

The Schedule

think of it like this if there are 12 team members then that is 1 story each every day so each person would have say a 2 hour slot every day to post say 1 article, you could however write 2 articles on one day and post one on one day then the other on the next.

What Is Classed As News

basically anything.
but to scale it down here is a list of possible news.
new games, new consoles, new software, new hombrew, new hacks, new demos, news about the companies involved in tech, news about new discoverys, news about tech shows like CES or E3 or MWSF, new IC or component releases or even new tech releases.
as i said almost anything is news as long as its interesting to someone and they dont already know it.

No we have an order to fill .... Its not hard to find news you just need to look.

Also u will be delegated what time you have to post, so we done have a clash of posts and because on the most part we all go to school we need posts from different timezones.

If we have six members then we only need each person to post twice a day, the news is out there you just need to find it.

New MS Duo for the PSP

Like we all know, the PSP has standard a Memory Stick card reader where we can put our little sticks in for
savegames, pictures, music and movies. Most of the users can get by with a 1GB card.
But for the users who can't get enough of space, they can finally rejoice, as Sony is releasing
a 16GB version of the Pro Duo. But before you can celebrate, there is a hefty price for the hefty size;
the stick cost $300 and will available at the stores in March.

What would be an idea would be to have console based news squads. For PSP there may be 5 ppl. Best stories get in the news. For less intense modding news, say PS3, there would only be 1 person.

As chief editor and scourer of online news ...... \i can safely say we dont need differnet news teams .... what we need is enough peopel on the team sothat we have an article every 2 hours, it not hard to find news and thats all we need, obviously one or 2 people cant do it themselves due to the fact they may have personal commitments such as school etc, and of course they have to sleep -_-

You can take the news from wherever you find it, but dont copy and paste the article, write your own one.

Some people including yourself were asked personally, this was how i was going to decide who would be part of the team. But due to my recent loss of net *F***ing BT Home hub, stop working but looks as if its perfect... piece of  *

It has been announced that Japanese electronics company Matsush¡ta Electronics Corp. are going to manufacture the world's largest TV built for the public.
The TV measures in at a whopping 150" corner to corner, or to put that in reference to how tall you are, 12.5 feet. This plasma screen is HD, and has a maximum resolution 4 times that of 1080p. Not too shabby for a screen with an area equivalent to 9 50" TVs.
The record of largest TV was broken considerably, beating Panasonic's 103" Plasma by a whole 47".
Set to arrive in 2009, there's a long wait yet, you'd best get saving!

its a cool idea, but for AM stuff, i don't think that that much happens to warrant a up date every 2 hours. when im looking for electronics news im looking at engadget or geekologie

so what i don't want to see is a bunch of there stories mirrored over hear. i would love to see things related to AM, but like i said i just don't think that that much gos on, but could be wrong.

If we can expand into the more tech side of news as Robin said, we will better the site, this will be done by the journalists having the news sooner than other sites, i've monitored some of them and they dont post as regularly as we propose to, If we are number one fore news as well as number one for modding, we can effectively take over the console world on the intraweb!!

But thats jsut my 2 cents, .... more to come when I have full access to the internet again =]...                        *damn BT  *

Windows 98 on PSP

This is Syko reporting with groundbreaking news,it seems Xarro - author of PSPWebcam - managed to get Windows 98 running on a PSP Phat using the Bochs x86 emulator. As the author explains, it's the same system used when Windows 95 was made to work on the PSP.

Xarro hopes to be able to release a tutorial, a new video or screenshots soon. The OS on the PSP isn't fast (in fact it's really slow, as Xarro notes) but the point is, the author made it work and that's the first step:

Finally i got running it on the PSP with the bochs x86 emulator! It's the same system of windows 95 but I installed it with PC version of bochs and i spent 6 hours today to install it (very low) and finally it works!

Recognition, as you said Robin, you start low and work your way up, if you do the right things and help the right people there's no telling what you might achieve... Including full celebrity status, its possible just put in the time and dedication...

Hate to put youi down... They have reporters doing this stuff going to Leipzig, seol, tokio. And phonesing the editors and telling them... Usleess you want to go to a new controy, I would recomend Am related only stuff. I dont care if dell relases planes to build a 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 inch TV, I use differnt site for that stuff...

Skype Comming To The PSP This Month

It seems the long wait is over, sony anounced that skype was comming to the psp within the month, although for phat owners this news isnt so pleasing, due to "memory problems" Skype is only comming to the psp Slim, but not to worry as one of the psp`s best known team "Noobz" have released a sip phone for the psp that works on both phat and slim (read more here).

along with the anouncement that skype is on its way they also anounced that a USB mic is going to go on sale in japan on january 24th.

this is the same mic that was released with the infamous lanquage learning pack (i cant remember the name).

McDonalds: Video games are the main reason for child obesity

It seems the main producers of child obesity are trying to move the blame onto somone else, The chief executive of McDonalds UK has told the times that Gaming is one of the main causes of child obesity, they agree that they have done their fair share of things to help the problem but say that consoles dont help the problem, they cause kids to stay inside instead of playing outside loosing thoes unwanted pounds.
