PSP wont turn on!!!!
« on: January 22, 2008, 05:22:26 PM »
OK so basically a friend at school just bought a psp (used) and brought it to me saying it wouldnt turn on. I brought it home today and I could not get it to turn on, I tried new batteries and running it through the charger etc. When I plug it into the wall the charge light does come on. Also I used a Pandoras battery and it finally turned on, however all i got was a black screen because thats what pandoras battery does. I dont have the magic memory stick yet, because I am goiong to make it once my card gets here through the mail. Basically I am stuck and dont know what else to do or where to take it to to get it fixed. Any hel;p/input would be appreciated. My guess is that the power switch is broken.

Does the green light glow? Does anything happen to the screen? Have you opened the PSP up? Let us know how you get on.

sorry it took so long to reply. The psp light does NOT turn green, it does not do anyhting. I have tried to restore using pandoras battery. At the end of the downgrade the psp would still not turn on with the normal battery. However when I put the pandora battery in the psp without holding L(I have UPMS) The psp will boot up the xmb, but it will not turn off. I take the battery out and try the other battery again and still... nothing. PLS help me
