ir shell

ive installed the 1.50 addon on my 3.71 m33-2 psp phat and when i transfer all the files to my memory stick for ir shell v 3.7 i think, i get an error saying "firmware not 2.71, pls shutdown psp!", im sure i put all the files in the correct positions and i have enabled the plugin for ir shell.

ummm just a random guess but it sounds like your trying to use the 3.X kernal eboot on a 1.5 Kernal PSP, IR shell comes with two eboots, one boots ir shell into 3.X and the other 1.5, you can normally tell them apart as i think 1.5 eboot is a greyish colour and the 3.X one is all colourful

yea i put both of them and loaded each one and the 1.50 one just stays at the loading screen and when i press the note button, the mem stick led starts flashing but nothing else happens

make sure its 3.71 compatible (ir shell 3.8 i think) if thats not the problem then sorry i dont know

just wondering you can boot into 1.5 cant you? if so then IR shell for some reason (probebly something obvious) is thinking your psp is a 1.5 psp, just do the simple checks like the eboots being in the right place ETC.

i did and then i tried it on my friends psp and guess what..it works, so its something with my psp which kinda pisses me off

slowly running out of ideas. heres what i can think of at the moment

format your flash 1 (your psp might have corrupted settings)

check you have game150 game and game371

if worse comes to worse re-install 3.71 m33 or update to 3.80 and use irshell 3.9

Makes me wonder, have you tried inserting the memory stick into a friends PSP and tried running it from there?

I've heard of the memory stick getting so fragmented that it would cause these issues, supposedly impossible but definitely seems to be the case at times.

yep and it worked on his psp
