Pandora Battary With Switch
« on: January 29, 2008, 11:10:56 AM »
i've been thinking of doing this,..
hardmod a battary (ben hecks way by cutting away a pin from a PIC)

but then add a switch to the pin,.. ;)

i already got 1 switch -> W-lan switch from psp mobo

only thing i need is a spare battary

i want to use it as a pandora, and as a normal battary ;)

example:
push switch up: Circuit is closed -> normal battary
push switch down: Circuit is open -> jigkick(hardmodded pandora) battary

dude, download this...you can go into recovery without rebooting, and it lets you convert ur battery from pandora and back to normal just by pushing a button...

the point is

when i go to school alot of people are like can you hack my psp?

then i say yeh i can but i will have to take your psp for 1 day

and then they are like, NO i aint giving away my psp

so i use this battary and push the switch, then take my MS and install the latest firmware with that despertar del cementrio thing

What Im saying is with that recovery .prx u can do that without hard modding ur batt...plus i dont see how ur gonna fit two wires between the eeprom pin and the pad u lifted it from...ud have to cram two wires in there and solder them both without bridging the gap, which would defeat your entire purpose...
But you could just put ur batt in ur psp, make it a pandora real quick, then do ur friends psp and put it back into yours and make it normal again...as long as you've already got a magic memstick for your pandora, then its actually the second easiest way, other than having a pandora batt and a normal one as well, which i assume is what you're trying to avoid here?
Anyway, do as you will, i already have a pandora battery.  I was just trying to help...

I'm 100% confident that the switch will work, but the way I see it theres only 2 possible choice to fit it.
1. Is on top of the battery but then you won't be able to put a battery cover on and you'll need some kynar wire to extend the connection
2. Is you put it inside let you able to put on the battery cover but then you'll have to open the battery every time you want to switch it back.
You choose.

p.s. my friend does that thing too at school

getting old is mandatory growing up is optional.

And then spill something on it, and fry the battery.

Honestly, the best way is just to use Jas0nuk's ELF Menu to run the Pandora app the restore your battery after using it.

yes the switch would be in the plastic from the battary
But the pins are just too small to solder 2 wires on them
