Rant about racist release date

We always seem to get games, consoles, etc last out of everyone....

All they have to do is get it translated and change a digit (NTSC is 1 or something, PAL is 2 or something).

I am pissed off about SSBB. Released in Japan, soon to be released in america, no confirmed date in europe. No confirm date to me is about as good as not being released.

Some people wonder why people have their consoles chipped.
Thats what i'm gonna do, because im pig sick of the racist bastards.

The reason's behind that were the fact that they had short supplies AND the fact that they were still arguing with European Gov'ts about whether it is a console or a computer (it's still considered a console and that is the reason it is so expensive)

well im much happier now i basically ignore uk/eu release dates and import all my stuff i got a jap ps3 i buy USA movies etc etc.  see the other day i bought 10/11 blue ray movies from america, in the end including priority shipping tracked to the uk and having it so that amazon.com pay any import duties came to about £90/£100 where as in the UK a blueray movie from what ive seen goes for no less than £19, one of these i got is a 4 disc set of the BBC's planet earth. so i would just star importing all your stuff as they not only get stuff earlyier they get better versions i.e. the ps3's in those countries were better, all the psp custom limited edition versions come out in those countries. and there all cheeper, a lot cheeper

my point exactly were as in the uk a psp is i think £129 so £45 more which is $90 more and they cant say that it costs that much more to ship it to the uk from china

it wouldnt bother me so much if it was like £5 £10 more on consoles etc but its loads more and games are usually about £10 more than in other countries. and it isnt just electronics thant anoy me about the uk hence why i want to get out of here as in most areas of the UK the cheepest house you can buy is £90,000 thats not far off $200,000 and im pretty sure you could get a pretty decent house in the US for that

But still its , also notice that they are replacing the discs for GH3 so that it has a stereo output in US, Australia etc

If you want a cheap PSP get one from USA, put it on CFW, then go into recovery and make it region freee

Actually gold is at record highs, wait a year or two for it to drop like a rock before you invest in it.

Yeah, but it doesn't make sense.  If gold on a scale of 1-10 is at a 7-8, would you buy it with hopes it goes up a little or wait until it drops to 4-5 area where your gains can be greater.

But most of the games, when translated (into german, french etc) all they need is a translator, cant be to hard to find a dozen or so, an its only the subtitles, names, items, menus (the text in general) that needs it. Most games now have english audio. So i might see if they were to do EVERY SINGLE LITTLE ASPECT of the game, including recording new sound affects, voiceovers etc.

I agree, Uk and Us should get things at basically the same time, but i alse feel its Europe's fault, as hardly any of them play console games, its all PC over there (notice we get PC Games on basically the same date?)

Canada is also behind a bit of the US. I think its just that the biggest market for whats released earlier is in the states and japan. thats why they get it first. more of the businesses are also located there. plus it depends on what the games original language is. plus Europe has much stricter laws and guidelines when it comes to in game stuff. then you have to go through all the different market stratagies, adverising ideas, region encoding sometimes, shipping, customs, delays, demand possibilities. You may not think it but I'd bet you Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo dont sit in their offices thinking of ways to piss Europe off for this and that. They want more money they'll get you your product quickly. the only reason i could think of for them to do it on purpose besides being continetist (continental racist) is because they want more market appeal, and demand, so once people have to wait for said 6 months more they'll want to buy it much quicker. I guess im showing sympathy for the big companies but I have delays to so i can show some empathy towards you too. It does suck waiting 2 weeks more for smash to come to Canada then Japan but I just believe that good thing come to those who wait.

Think about it, how big is all of europe compared to japan? as reaper or robin said i can't remember which it takes a lot of stock to give to europe, they cant just eat electronics and out a products fully formed in a box they have to MAKE everything, the box, the console, they have to order cables, they have to order paint to go on the console then re-order when they run out and then pay for shipping, it makes perfect sense that they would ship to japan first because for that reason they don't have to ship.

It's not just a digit they have to change, region coding doesn't jsut take time they have to redo the colours and graphics or they will corrupt on there TV, not to mention they have to fix Y positions or it will be partially off screen. if you remember when POPS came out all pal peopl had to convert there PSX games after ripping them, then spend ages converting them to NTSC. The difference is, the developers have to code it. And if they get complaints in japan, they have to fix the problems as well.

In short, it sucks but it happens, deal with it or piss off (i mean that jokingly, i dont actually want you to, just to see reason rather then suppressing it when its offered  )

first the "wtf are you on about" was to get him to elaborate on what he was angry about. his first post kind of touches on what he was talking about but dose noting to clarify. im sick of sony releasing things in other markets that they don't release in the us. i wanted a blue psp, but TS i didn't  get one that doesn't justify calling a company "racist"

second the "europe sucks" remark like i said earlier was a JOKE.
