analog won't return to center
« on: February 07, 2008, 05:09:39 PM »
okay so I have had this problem w/ 3 psp's, is there something I just do not get.  while playing a game after heading in a certain direction, the character will continue to go that direction, but slowly.  1st psp was SouthEast, 2nd was East, now (3rd)it is going northwest.  I tried the calibration method (while in system info.)  this has done nothing, i think it is due to the method just finding the range of motion not center.  So each time I have tried joysens (by raphael), each time making it go away temporarily.  Is there something I am not getting?  with this happening to me several times, I have not found one mention of it online.  Is this common knowledge, and there is a fix (or calibration) and I am just dumb (very possible).

I have read somewhere that one person took the analog apart, and cleaned up the excess grease, and this fixed it.

BTW one of the psp's had never been taken apart

yeah it was the screws, I guess I was being hard headed and needed to hear someone tell me to do it.  My only excuse is that it happened exactly the same with an unopened (new) psp.  back to  :psp:
