i have around £183 , but i dont want to speand anywhere near that, im torn between 8gb ipod touch, 80g ipod classic,or the 3g ipod nano. Please help me choose

if i where you i would get the touch but simply because i want one sooo badly. it retails at £186 but ive searched on ebay and a brand new 8gb touch is £160

Meh the touch ain't bad, but in terms of a phone and music, just stick with the 80GB and get a regular cell :P

how many songs? loads=80gb classic not loads like 4k= touch
what do you use it for? just music=80gb classic films/internet/games=touch
do you like homebrew? yes = touch

hope that helps - the 3rd gen was kinda out of the question with as much space as the touch.....

depends what you want the touch for

i didn't buy it because i like music, video and pictures, 8gb is no where near enough, but it may be for others

i was toying with boying a touch because of the games and emu's etc, but then i realise i have at least 4 homebrew enabled devices + my computer which all do it 10x as good and yes two of the devices stated have touch hehe

jsut look at why you want a touch and if you REALLY need the features it offers

I'd go for the touch too...I usually only need like..2GB for all the music I'm in the mood for for awhile, lol. But if you just want alot of space to keep every song...if you have random cravings all the time for songs you listen to almost never..

yeah everyones different when it comes to music

i just have that opinion because i listen to more progressive music and listen by album a fair bit (not ALWAYS but lately quite frequently)

like for example The Who's - Tommy, its hard to listen to jsut one song from it because its a rock opera.

anywhere pretty much, unless your talking uk, then idk, problly pretty close to the same

8gb touch= not enough for me
within 2 months of having it:
songs= 880 ~3.5gb
podcasts= 14 ~800mb-1gb (happy tree friends ftw)
music videos= 1 ~300mb
movies= 1 ~1gb (soon to be 2, Jackass*already* remember the titans*soon*)
pictures= 42 ~25mb
extras= nothing, cuz i updated firmware and downgrade isnt working
total= ~6gb
and thats after only like 2 months, give me a little longer and that baby will be fulled up

luckily i have a 5.5g 60gb video sitting next to it, currently with rockbox, but no music/videos/pix

edit- update on music
songs- 942- ~4gb

edit #2- another update on music
songs- 986 ~4.2gb

i was able to save up for one w/o a job, all you have to do is wait for a big holiday, birthday w/e
i waited for my birthday, which happened to be 8 days after the touch came out (touch-sept 12, my b-day sept 20)
i was able to get enough cash and bring back enough extra crap to be able to buy the 8gb
and from your pricing, it seems your looking for the 8gb too, dont forget to save for shipping if your off of amazon

1. I have no family member what so ever in texas
2. My birthday is 7 months away
3. I got a total of $97 from Chinese new year and most likely its gonna stay at $97
4. I never get more then $30 at birthdays

So to sum it up, I need to do some babysitting...
Don't get me wrong I love little kids, but soooo much trouble >.<
