is there any know way to fix this? many of my friends have had this happen and i would like to be able to help them

That is a lie! There is a fix for it. You open it and do the xclamp replacment with bolts. then you heat the processor up with a heat gun to remelt the solder. I dont know if those are the exact steps but I do know that my friend fixed his!

Callin me a lier! It is one from release so it is nowhere near new. He fixed it 3 months ago and its still goin! Trust me its possible. He'll be posting here when I get him to....

I am skulls friend. Yes there is a way to fix the ring of death if there is only 3 rlod. if there is 4 red lights then its a programing error. I know this works because I payed $120 for mine from a friend and it had the ring of deth befor I payed for it so I did this thing and It was fixed. So far it has lasted 5 months and thats how long I have had it for. Let me look for my box with the paper work in it then I will tell you how to fix it.

not calling you one but your friend there is no way whats so ever so fix it unless you built the dame thing i did the clamp fix while chatting to can we hack it! and i was saying it to him thats why im getting a ps3 ms are not going to make it so you can fix it

To prove im not lieing and help everyone out I will even record me fixing it and then post it here and then that will prove it works. i know the prob with mite that has coursed the red lights just on one of the chips theres a burn mark and sorry i dont have paypal and not selling just yet but would love to see the recording and ive seen all rod fixes on the web just to fix mine

Do you have pics of the burn mark?

well it would be easyer to show you how to fix it but my 360 is currently working and I donot wanna give it the ring of death on purpose.hmmm I will post how to fix it some time tommarow possibly. I want to try to get someones 360 with the 3 rlod to show you it works. one of my other friends in ohio might sell me his for $50 he isnt shure yet. If anyone has a 360 with the 3rold and would want to sell it to me please PM me.

the Towel trick and do even more damge becuase it can get so hot it melts the solder together

I would not recomend the towel trick. It wrecks it more. The one that I payed for and fixed. he tryed the towel method it worked till he turned it off and then when he turned it back on then it had the 3rod.
Agen I do not recomend the towel method.
