Would This Idea of a Battery Mod Work?
« on: February 23, 2008, 11:02:56 AM »
Hey, so if i wired a few (2-4) cellphone batteries to the MotherBoard where the AC charger port :censored: comes in, would it work?

When i say work, i mean will the psp turn on? And, is it possible for those 2-4 batteries to charge the psp battery? I think it should work because the 2-4 batteries will just work as a powersource, like the AC. Of course they'll eventully run out, but i think it should work.

Share your ideas/thoughts please.

it can't hurt to try (unless you mess up the wiring), but you might find that it requires more power when coming from the ac port (like 5V) whereas most lithium-ion batts are 3.6-3.7 volts or a multiple of that, like 3.7 -7.4 - 11.1 etc.

So try it with one, if it works wire in the rest

good luck
