« on: February 27, 2008, 05:45:04 PM »
hello, i am doing the sound mod, and after i solder on the 5v to the mobo, when i am trying to put the mobo back on, the wire always breaks. it isnt breaking at the solder point, but on the insulated part. i am using radioshack 30 gauge wire, ive even tried hot gluing it, but it doesnt work.

I have not had any problems with radioshack 30 gauge wire. From my experiances, it is pretty strong.

Are you bending the wire a lot when you strip it or solder it? That would weaken the wire.

ok thanks, ill just go out and buy some new wire.

also, is there a ground point and 5v point on the daughter board so i can use those instead of the ones on the mobo for less wires?
