Wireless lan card

Hey,

I've got a wireless lan card (USB) and the connection is very bad. so i wanted to know if it's possible to connect an antenna to it. it's a Sweex LW058

How far away are you from your router first of all, is there any interference ex. constantly being on a phone. You should probably get an internal Wireless card. They work better.

Thats probably why your getting such a poor connection with a USB dongle. Get an internal card and you should see improvement. Example, I have an internal wireless card and I am on the second floor of my house and the router is on the first floor and I have an excellent connection even through all the walls and such.

Read my last post. Get an internal wireless card if you have a spare PCI slot.

wow now i have both a usb and and internal wireless card hooked up to my computer. and i get a better and stronger connection with my usb one.

i fish off a neighbors house a few doors down and off another one some were i dont know. plus my own.
and the usb picks up the neighbors homes better then my own router and i am in a one story. My internet has never worked right an any house i lived in.
