custom front and back plate
« on: March 17, 2008, 12:20:21 AM »
my little cuz wants to get a back plate with the mexican flag colors on the back
green on one side and red on the other and in the middle the eagle with the snake in its mouth and some green and red led lights in the same position with the green and red part of the flag and the front plate just the colors red white and green in the same position with the led lights as for the buttons make then the same color as the color that surrounds it

idk know wat would be better ... to order some clear plates and  do this myself or maybe someone can do the backplate for me cuz thats the only hard part

i might post some pics of how he wants it to look, if i get a chance

Make a big templete in paint or something, then print it on sticker paper. Then you just stick it on the back, no mess.

wow you dont know what a jewel is? its a clear acrylic circle peice where you put it where your psp logo is on the back. you cut that circle out and you put the jewel there so itll look cool and you can look at your umd spin. also for the sticker design i would suggest you go to decal girl and customize one. they let you do it at decalgirl.com

why didn't you just say acrylic circle peice i got some sheets of that stuff waiting to get thrown out but the jewel is kinda point less cuz its going to  get covered up by the eagle

if i get a clear plate and paint it from the inside do you think it'll still look ok or should i paint it on the outside of the plate

heres the flag you can see the colors red on the right and green on the left

im trying to put the flag on the back of the psp and on the front the flag colors reversed

so when you look at the psp the red on the front is on the same side as the red on the back and same thing with the green

and for the buttons i want to try and get them the same color as the color their touching

same with the led lights

the bottom button strip is where i'm kinda stuck :dntknw:

i'm not sure how to get thoses in different colors because they're all one strip

Stickers are the only solution i can see. A jewel could be cool though: a white umd door with a clear jewel that has a smaller Eagle and snake design on it and augmented with a couple of white LEDs could be sweet :yess:! As for the home bar buttons, i think you'll just have to settle with all of them being white.
Shut up, I know I am a pessimist.

i was thinking about that earlyer... makeing the snake design smaller to fit on the jewel... that sounds good :hifive: the white led lights on the jewel and i think your right whites the only option left for the home bar :yess: other then that all i need to do now is the painting...
...i was thinking spray painting the inside of the back plate and face plate them im done :victory:

He means get Neubit which is like our head jewel guy here to engrave a jewel for you.
From how I see it you should paint the front and back plates then paint the umd door white  insert a jewel in it get white leds to put in the umd and do the rest according to your pic

getting old is mandatory growing up is optional.

Go here to get your jewel.  It's the official Acidmods jewel shop.  So all you have to do is make account with the same name as your Acidmods account and buy your jewel.
