I am getting the parts and the balls to attempt this mod with a few friends.  Does the 16F84A come precoded from the linked site?

Im trying to get my controller to respond as fast as the one in the video but im not having any luck. Im using CCS compiler and I think that might be my problem using predefined commands. Please connect one of the output pin and post the output

Ignore the 1.9V thats just the transition if i zoom in further i see the hi to low

will a tut for sixaxis or dualshock 3 be made? i so wanna attempt this but i have a sixaxis, which modding it would be so much easier than 360 controller as it has huge amounts of space seeing as there is no rumble of course

I'm working on a PS3 controller Black not a dualshock 3 . I have a Japanese Playstation 3 System (Ceramic White) Which i'm not about to open my only Dualshok 3 just to make a Tut.

any way once i get my PS3 controller done i post pictures and you can use it as a example to do yours

your next option is Hori Pad 3 Turbo White $30.00

Quote :
The official SixAxis controllers are priced at about US$50 in Japan and the USA. Still costly. To give gamers a price break, Hori releases a standard PS3 controller which sports the same design sensibilities as the Dual Shock with a turbo-fire enhancement that may prove invaluable to certain gamers.
The cord that's attached to the Hori Pad 3 Turbo measures 3m and the turbo-fire can be toggled for all buttons on the pad with three gradations of speed - 5, 12, or 20 shots per second.
end Quote

You can order it here : http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/HP3-34.html

your 3rd option you can send me your an i build it   j/k i know you want to build it your self its more fun that way

you can do it with the rumble but it just harder to get everything sit nice

i did it with just one rumble and still came out fine so i use the space for one rumble only

also i'm doing this mod with the new hiveboard with is coming out soon which it make it lot more

nicer and faster to do and can have both rumble i will have picture soon.

This mod looks awesome and quite straight forward

but I cannot work out how you would wire this:

Would I solder one of the pins on the switch to the GRN after putting the switch in series to the hot? (with a 10k resistor in between the switch and the GRN)

I also am not sure about the grounding, looking at KingMike's pictures on page 2, it looks like only 2 wire are soldered to the ground whereas on the systematic there are 7/8 wires that need to be grounded. Have you used a different grounding point or have you simply merged the wires down to 1 wire and then soldered that to the ground? Or do some wires just not need to be grounded?

Pictures would be appreciated showing merging or an alternate ground.

thanks

Yu you got it the reason for the ground here is to prevent a floating pin meaning with out it you would get random button presses when you have not do anything to the button.

Sorry for asking so many questions but I want to be sure, where do I solder the leads from the socket to the controller I/O board for the right trigger ect, is it on the underside of the I/O board because I cannot see any pictures of the leads being soldered to the board. Any pictures would be great :)
