Hey Guys Got A New HDD Need Help

hey guys if you read the last post of mine you would know my xboxes stock hdd kicked the bucket so now im back with my next obsticle i got a new Seagate 160GB HDD (model # ST3160212A) it should be compatible with my 1.6 Xbox now i have The x3ce Mo:censored:ip and an softmodded xbox of a friends to use(if i HAVE to) but the stock drive is gone to no way to get the old hd lock key i think but anyway im looking to just get it running again at least any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated

just change the hdd install the bash and your off if your after your saves and stuff of a hdd i dont know if you can get them back

how would i go about installing the dash i keep getting an error 16

dont really care about anything on the old hdd i just want my xbox back =P

:EDIT: ok just installed the x3ce but when i turn the system on it stays on for about 4 seconds then restarts about it does this 3 times then just shuts off im getting kinda worried the new hard drive is unlocked. now i dont get the error/system matenence screen any help guys? Thx Again

:EDIT2: Went to xbins and made the bios disk but still having the problem with it turning off and on

if your using a chip make sure you have properley installed it and make shaw the biso and dash surports the chip

use any of the recent IND bios with .06 at the end [supporting drives under 137gigs]

if u hav the chip installed. boot into the chips bios and goto the harddrive upgrade wizard [if there is one]. If not. load it up with ur friends xbox and ftp the files onto ur C drive.....

flash the bios and use an unlocked drive
