it doesnt do anything of that sort to me...idk what happened with yours...
i have to admit im pretty noob but i did it knowing that this speaker was working well on 5v and as i saw this 5v point on the mobo i hoocked it up with the lm386 and thats it...

but im planning into putting  a cage arround the speaker and that way it will ''seem'' its not so out of the psp....the speaker is actually very big

yup for sure
i remember putting those speaker on test the first time with an ipod...i put the volume to max, and and the sound was a lil bit bad...so i understood that there was imporance in the input voltage of the lil chip in the original case of the speakers.....its the same with the lm386....

I like the color theme although the speakers kinda made it bulky

def not for me. I thought that was like a push button kinda thing on the back but it's not ( woulda been cool. like you push it in and then it pops out with leds) I've never liked chrome.

Ken i wouldnt have done it any other way

Good job!  And remember, even if some people don't like it, it's more about doing it how you like it, and don't let anyone discourage you from modding!

nice job!
But does anyone know why the sound gets distorted for some people? I have also done a rear speaker mod w/ and LM386, but the sound is a bit distorted...and I know that my speaker can handle it... :dntknw: :dntknw:

I have used resistors for the input, I don't think that's the problem.
Maybe....the LM386 is amplifying it too much? It could be possible, and if somehow I could lower the amp from 20x to maybe 10-15x? Does anyone know if that's possible (there are gain pins on the LM386 after all...)? :dntknw:

hmm i herd that a capacitor between gain and bypass dose the trick but also herd resistors do the trick so idk i have some small loud speakers that would be great if i could amplfy them so please if anyone knows how to install a amplifyed speaker pm me or make a thread to discus

hey thanx evryone...
i would have liked you tell me what i can do to make to make it better with the same speaker( i choosed it because it's all with the miror theme) but it's my fault i had to say it in the beginning....

XD avout the hair...lol i wake up late so i had to run to take the next bus and not to b late for school and i was so tired that day that i didnt care about my appearance...

thx for your support guys^^

hey Mythtron, what kind of speaker did you use are you sure it isn't a speaker that needs less power than the 5v? maybe you could play with the gain and understand how it works, wich i really don't know, or you can try to put it on a 3.2V point elsewhere on the mobo...
