BRAND SPANKIN NEW!

so i bought a new blu ray drive from an 80GB PS3 and i put that in my 60 gig and now it does the same thing as the old one did..... put game in. sit. read.read.read. nothin' and i cannot figure it out, could anyone point me to some sources of problems and solutions could i restore my ps3 and erase all data on my harddrive and or something. Im thinking about calling Sony even though its VOIDed but anyways. thanks in advanced.

Dude are you sure it was the drive. it might be a hardware malfunction Some where in the PS3 Or a Wicked Software Error.

its probably the Blu-Ray controller that has failed, and both of your Drives work fine.

most likely then its a problem thats on the motherboard. And its a pretty big motherboard.

Well, its a new PS3 fix you see, as the Mobo has the CPU and GPU and Ram soldered to it, so its like 60% of the console.

well actaually i have 3 lasers now lol but im going to maybe try to sell two of them, anyways so theres no fix really or do i need a new motherboard?

You need a new Mobo, as everything is on the mobo, there isnt a Blu-Ray Daughterboard that the the drive plugs into, its all housed as one thing.

Reaper don't give people too many ideas, lol. Next you be walking through the street and see a blue laser on you top. Too bad laser are banned in my state, too many airplanes have been blinded and gone off course *GULP* :huh:
