i cant get you picts but just replace the power led with the same sort you are going to use (i reccomend 3mm for this job)

and just run the led's in paralell in the controller port holes

so what size resistor would i need or do i not need one? I am wanting to do the leds to where they go through the controler ports and the top slot. And you say i should run it through the light on the front?

The N64 takes two voltages, on an unmodded system it takes 12v (actually 11v) and 3.3v. On the mobo is a 7805 regulator, so you can take 5v off that too. Basically, you can use LED's which are 3v or 5v, so you don't need resistors; just wire the LED's as you want.

There are a lot of guides and info on the N64 on the Benheck.com forum, have a look.

Also generally when you don't know where to solder search for controller pinouts and use power from the controller ports to power your mod.

N64 easier, uses carts not CD's, so you don't need to consider housing a spinning disk. N64's are actually (contrary to normal belief) quite easy to mod; not the easiest, but not hard. Far easier are the likes of a SNES or NES.
