NO MY LED!

crap i burned 8 leds in 30min on my last 2 i need help with the trigger mod plz help

Ok, first what watt soldering iron are you using?  Second what do you mean you burned up 8 LEDs?  Do you mean you literally burned them while trying to solder them or do you mean you can't get them to light up because of whatever reason?

They could have been in backwards or not enough resistance behind them.

they blow out on me when testing i have 15 watt solder iron and i dont know were to solder the resistor(10 ohm) or the LEDs(green) on the power board plz help me out  :beg:
someone hook me up with a step by step TuT

1. U need to know led's max voltage and current .
2. U need to know how many volts are your source
3. U need to know ohm's law

I=U/R => R=U/I => R=[Us(source)-Ul(on LED)]/Id[current thru LED in Ampers]

So for greenled (for example) :
                      R=(5-2.5)/0.02
                      R=125ohm

It worx like this Us=Ur+Ul

Or U can make it serial ,bc 2.5V on each led is 5V on both .
                      Us=Ul1+Ul2
And thats allright no more smoke ;)

its cool now i just hook them up to my speaker they work fine now lol i think all be fine as long as hey dont blow out my speaker or short out my mother board all be cool

hmm remindes me when i did my first trigger mod and i blow the doide and started smoking ..  :nono: it smelt really bad
