i need help with the sound reactive lights
« on: April 29, 2008, 06:22:06 PM »
im following L0rdNiC0s tutorial and his instructions for installing the sound mod are vague. i do not understand it when he says "Now take your Amp (Sound Mod) and wire up the Anode + lead." what does that mean?  and also when he says "To do this place tape around your Amp and ensure that there is no exposed joints or other metal and place it on the top of the MS cage like so." do i put the tape stick side in or sticky side out?

and when you solder the LEDS how do i know which is anode and cathode? it doesnt explain. please help! i already made the amp.

I think what he means is that you should use differing colored wire for eac direction.

+ would be blue
- would be red

if your looking to use the amp ( i cant be assed with it) then things are gonna get tricky.
my advice is just skip the whole amp method and go direct.
some people wont like that , but its easier.
al i can say is that when your using the tape , id say use double sided and sticked the amp(if you go with it) to the inside part of the case.
good luck.
