WTF is up with ads :D

I know the AM site needs some ads to help pay for the costs of keeping it up. But I am wondering if what I am seeing wasn't some sucessful adware/spyware/whateverware shoved into my computer, because half the words I see in any part of the page are getting highlighted so that you can click on them and get some random,pointless,artarded search on the word. No offense, but I think ALOT of members are going to be bothered by this, and I already think this is overkill. Thoughts, rants, objections? Please mention :-/

i agree EVERYTHING has gone funny like when i first opened this post it went to ebay and stuff have turned to links like words and there highlighted green and it looks terriable  :nono:

Hmm where do you get this "adblock plus? Is it some kind of pill you take, or mabey a supository :) XD?

yes we know and we have sorted out the pop up page transition ads as we had forgot to turn them off in the new ad system we are using. it may take a while for the change to take effect but it will happen.

apologies for any inconvenience but as of not the highest advertised area will likely be spam&chat as it isn't a formal area of the forum just a mess about area where anything goes.

Please give it 3 hours to reset and they should all go away.. When I set it up I forgot to check the obtrusive ads and they sort of took over..

im not sure if its acidmods but i havn't been on many sites latly and im bringin in some adware/trogens but its probably not AM

it isnt goint to be us as we only use trusted ad companys such as google ads and adbrite which are both used by hundreds of big sites
