Metallic Cases from CoolMods

Can anyone tell me what kind of finish quality is on the CoolMods metallic cases.

Is it just shiny paint that rubs off and scratches easily or is it plated like model chrome is
that is fairly durable ?

If its not durable then I will buy clear cases and paint the sections I want opaque from the inside
so the finish won't scratch and wear off.

well considering its from coolmods i expect it to be good quality

i can do a good paint job for u and if u get clear case i can paint it a clear color

What I would like is a red chrome on the inside of the back case but I don't know if you can get it that shiny.

I really like the red chrome that Coolmods has on their website

And if I have it painted I want to mask off certain areas to be clear and certain areas to be red Chrome opaque.

I want to do the back in Red chrome except around the edges on the flat part of the sides next to the silver trim.
There I want it transparent.
I will replace the PSP logo with a Jewel
The faceplate I want to do in transparent red but only half the darkness of the sides

I want to do it all on the inside so that the finish can't scratch and won't ever come off.

I want to paint the silver trim satin red.

I am putting RGB color leds arount the outside edge for all the colors in the rainbow.
I found the sourcecode for that mod.
8 Leds will go under the crystal and they can spin patterns and do ping pong in time to the music

I need the external clear case for my UMD drive red chrome on the bottom and clear red on the top.

I need the hoods for the cable to the external UMD drive satin red

I want to get the inside metal work gold anodized.

What would that kind of painting cost me ?

well idk costs yet i have to go to my hobby shop and see

thanks VOX and i found out IF they don't have chrome paints for my airbrush they do got them in a can so i could do the chrome even if i can't get the paint for my airbrush
