Ok Ive only got simple ideas first so I need yor help with suggestions, where to get stuff etc...

Plans So Far...
- Full Clear Case

With this I need to find a transparent slim version

-Purple LEDs in the case
-White LED Swaps

-Some form of cooling system, be it a fan or other means ... not for practicality merely for eye candy =P

-Transparent PS2 Controller (Pimped with LEDs)

-Six Axis Ps2 controller.

I want to have a six-axis for my PS2 but as you can see its a bitty big o_O

-Power on from Controller
I saw someoens post of this with a gamecube so I think Ill attempt it to =]

Thats all I got so far.
I plan to buy everything by the end of the week so anythign you feel like contributing idea-wise would be greatly appreciated

P.s. Sorry Tec I refuse to use el wire =P

Sounds good so far. You might have trouble finding a transparent version of the flip top mod. Lol at the El wire, keep us updated

Im thinking case etch aswell. A nice retro PS logo on the disc cover?

Uhm Im having trouble sourcing UV LEDs in the UK. Any help would be appreciated =]

well i got bored so I've bought everything apart from a fan which i guess i dont really need =\
and kynar wire I want it to be colour coded :3

Once ive installed the case etc ill see where i can put it and how im going to implement the idea =] But i have a further Idea ... does anybody know if you can install an LCD and have TV output?

Why not put some LED's in the fan? It will take away that stock look

it will look far from stock. But its not enough it needs somethign and i had it nwo i dont got it =[

Once ive done the visual changes ill develop something .... jsut need to think fo it first XD

I'm not sure about how much space there is between the components and the top case, You will have to check yourself, after that you can start thinking up ideas

but any lcd screen should do as long as it take an rgb input - or even buy the old portable ps2 screen and canabalyse it to make it smaller

Ok So as I sadi I got the transparent case but When I put it on the Lens doesnt move so it doesnt read discs, everythign else works fine.

VoX suggested it may be that I need a new lens but When i placed the old top back on it read the discs and I could paly games.

Unfortuantely i cant use a different top as the clear bottom case has a wierd clips that the original one doesnt =[

Any ideas?

dremeling would work, would fit nice and would be functionable.

But the simple fact is I actually want the clear case :3

well i think i broke the lens now o.O

Its such a stress, I've got them to fit in every possible way and none of them allow the lens to move!

I need to look in on it more which is hard cos i cant see what happens with the normal case cos its not transparent. OH THE IRONY!!!!

That laser is a pain in the

, not to mention the tedious sanding. You got your UV Led's so they should keep you entertained... unless they blow up something

Its actually doing my nut in o_O

I jsut dont get why its nto working I mean i can place the original case on it and it sometimes works which means the lasers not screwed, i think.

But when i fit either case it doesnt work

That sanding annoyed me and i htought it would be the end of my problems ... oh no =[

AAAAND I cant even be entertained with pretty lights cos its not clear so its pointless =[

and that stupid engine not fitting

Ok im an idiot =]

The laser has no problem yay!! The case wasnt htiting the 2 sensors Havent figured out quite how to fix it yet =\

The circled components are the sensors...im thinking tapie them down so the laser is always active?

Can you think of any problems I may face?

Ok got the laser moving with the clear case fitted, taped down a sensor and installed a little slider in the case so i have to manually tunr the other sensor on... bti of a stress but well well..

Each breakthrough comes with a corresponding problem though =[

Now the drive doesnt spin o_O

Will post back when i find a solution =]

Uhm i fused something =\
ok my watch hit the power switch, the LED went off...

I took it otu put it back in and it still would go on.
Perhaps I've only broken that bit. ill buy a replacement soon and see if thats the problem. If not I'll need a new PS2 =[

Additional Notes

If anyone has a PS2 slimline that they eiter want to donate or sell to me then I will greatly appreciate it. This one is propa gone.
Cheaper and easier to buy a new one than to repair it.
