8GB Memory Sticks and CFW!?

I have 3.90 m33-3 cfw on my psp.
I recently bought an 8gb memory stick pro duo off ebay (stupid i know) and i put it in and formatted, and it worked for like 2 minutes. But, some  wouldn't open and then the PSP wouldn't read it all, it didn't recognize that there was a memory stick even inserted. So, I can't format again, not even through the PC (i've tried). I'm guessing the memory stick was fake, but idk.

So, I'm wondering if 8gb memory sticks even work with custom firmware???
Because I'm willing to go to the store and buy a legit one, but I want to make sure that they will even work. If any of you know of any good brands that will work with cfw please tell me.

you dont need to be a genuis to know that all memory sticks off of ebay are fakes [mybe some times you can find a real one] But you shouldnt have evn nought it from ebay they are like always from hong kong and fake crap lol Welcome to Acidmods lol I think that Memory sticks are a rip off though 120 for a 8 gig. Thats messed up. You can get a hard drive like 60 gig for that price lol.  Why the hell are those tiny lil card to much!?

That's not true.  You just have to use common sense and not buy any from Hong Kong or any seller that's selling them in bulk.

Ok thats all great... is any1 using a memory card with more memory than 8gb?
there has been word of 16gb cards.. if some1 is using one can u let us know??
