Common reasons psp won't power
« on: June 09, 2008, 01:31:39 PM »
What are the most common reasons that psps won't turn on? i just bought one off ebay which I thought powered but turns out it won't. Now I'm wondering how I'll fix it, or I'm selling it for like 85 bucks shipping included....

make sure everything is connected right, check for any shorts, make sure the battery isnt fried, check for anything missing on the mobo, one of my psps fell and a processor chip came right off, it only fell like 2 feet too.

Cool thx. I hope it's not somethin' that came off the mobo... Well if it is I should hear some clinking inside. Anyways, I haven't recieved the item yet, and it won't be for 1-2 weeks before I do. Still hoping for the best, but ya never know...

Check the Poweboard ribbon cable in plugged in completely, as this can stop it from turning on

Lol yea I'll probably end up selling:

mobo (dunno if it's broken) 20 bucks
screen 30 bucks
power board 5 bucks
case 15 bucks
buttons 5 bucks

or just sell the whole damn thing for 70 bucks + shipping...
