Internal camera problem

hello again, i am going to do the invisible internal camera mod where you install the camera just above the memory card slot and still keep the UMD Drive and i am following this guide - http://pspgen.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=6932 (sorry its in french - just translate it and its not too bad). But on that guide, i see he has a TA-081 motherboard/wifi board so it doesnt have that blue wifi thing sticking out in the way of where tha camera should go.

but if you read further down the tutorial at the bottom, he shows how to use a TA-079 board for the mod (i have TA-079), the one where the blue thing sticks right out. He filed half of it off as you see here

What i want to know is if this is safe to file off that chunk of wifi and if my wifi will still go. Please help ??
