Anyone else agree?

I don't know why, but I just cant stand that effect from photoshop, the shine one, I would say it more professionally but I forgot what it is called, that puts a point that shines brightly... it makes the piece look ghetto unless used properly... anyone agree?

Same here, I have used it on on my images, and hope to keep it that way as it is hard to use and ends up making the image look unprofessional.

For reference, This is the image I used it on:

But that is a good use for it on that picture, not many good uses for it, so some beginners put it in random places.
