i dont watch a lot of horror but the ones i have seen have been asian thrillers

namely The Grudge

i found it entertaining but i was a lot younger then and it scared me less

my then 18 year old cousin showed me it and their house had one leaky tap at the time so i kept looking up expecting to see  an asian chick missing a bottom jaw bone
