yea but you can not update to 4.05 sony original firmware because there is a check on it. It checks for sigcheck on fw

That I know of no game requires 4.05

I am running 4.01 M33-2 on my PSP and I have not found a game yet that
requires higher than this.

So I am running the 4.01 Sony Firmware.

Custom firmware patches the original Sony firmware to do the things it does.
That is why when you put custom firmware on your PSP you have to download
the original Sony firmware so the installer can patch it.

If there we any significant changes in the firmware it would be upgraded already.
If games come out that require a newer version of firmware it would be upgraded.

So 4.01 is a very good version right now.

What you need is a Dremel, sandpaper, maybe a file, a jewel or something to put in the hole and you need to be able to open the psp to get the door out

FYI- A good dremel can be pretty expensive.

But you dont need to use a dremel u can use a drill which i think is a bad idea or a saw like Neubit used to do cause he had no dremel.

But i say dremel all the way

No thats pretty easy but only do that if you have USB charge or it wont work...

But if its USB Charge ya is ok easy just dont bridge the pints on the USB point on accident or its annoying..

if you wanna make a usb charger for the psp, i found the easiest way is getting a spare ac port from DX or somewhere like that, get a spare mini usb cable (like one of those cheap bargin ones) cut the usb plug off and solder it to the spare AC plug. you can use the tut for how to wire them up. that way you don't have to cut off the plug on the charger. Like an adapter.

apart from the ones that have already been mentioned, that's it. unless anyone else can think of any other easy ones.

I always recommend changing your psp case. it's a good way to understand how it's put together, plus there are tut's to help you understand.

battey or my charger i take out the battery and plug
the charger in the psp and turn the power on and dosent turn on
and when i have the battery in with the charger it wont
charge?

If you are using the combo cable and trying to charge from you PC
then you have to have a good battery to do that

If you are charging from an ac charger then your charger will
run the PSP without a battery. So I would suspect the charger.

i don't think antine sells them on ther own, well... undercutter does but they'll charge a

load of money for it. you would be better of buying a case from DX and taking the swich from there. if not, i may have a spare you could buy.
