we believe that the ANA chip is the xbox's scaler chip but Microsoft does not want to say if is or not.

I did a bit of reading a few months back and if you have scaler chip problems your will most likely have RROD (problem with ANA chip) or else your screen's frame rate will drop (if you have an older xbox).

hold a hair dryer on it for about three mins. direct the flow around the edge of the chip
