DO NOT USE THE PICS POSTED FOR THIS METHOD. The pics that were posted are for another method with a different 555 timer. Follow what's on the first page for this method. The pics are of a completely different method

I just removed those pictures so people won't mix and match parts. I thought posting them would be better than Sillys drawing, as it's the same layout and the close up gave good detail.

Do you got a vid of your mod in Halo 3? Will yours work as good as Mikes? Mine works good in everything but H3. If yours works, I'll edit my thread and point it here. Also, you should add the Radio Shack part numbers to your op.

And btw, do mike's work on all games? Or just CoD4 and Halo3?

Rem. guys / girls use new batteries / powerpack the lower the batteries the more lag ( the slower it shoots ) just like kingmikes chips

I think a better pinout diagram along with that video would be nice. Maybe just correct the first post. I think we can all agree that the pin numbering is off. I just put one together and had a few issues, so im figuring the diagram is throwing me off. I followed the text instructions and when i turn on my controller and start up halo, it starts unloading my clip, reloads, more auto fire. When i pick up a rifle it fires off one thats it...suggestions on what is wrong? ALso using an old style wireless if that matters.

the dig. is right kingmike and others had no prob doing it man ill make a nother vid when radioshack gets the chips and ill post it with vid. just follow it as it says and it works no problams make sure you have the right stuff

my radioshack is out of the 555cn timers so kingmike is going to make it and post the vid of it working for me tonight

Alright nuts, i got it working, i put a resistor on 1/2 vs 7/8. It seems that in halo you do need to use a momentary switch otherwise itll be rapid firing the entire time, even in the menus which brings your selection to the bottom. If there is another way please share.

hey, sillynuts
you are the man i followed your instructions that you gave me step by step. this process was as simple as it gets, everything was correct and it works awsome as you noticed. the only problem that i had was not the 555CN timer IC chip it was the 1K res:271-1321 it seems I can't get it where i live in tennessee. but i want to say thanks for helping me over the headset online on it all from helping me find that chip in a C-B that i had to the step by step instructions again you the P.I.M.P. see you online

cool thanks man ... that is a friend on xbox live i told how to do this mod over the headsit and he got it right first time he ripped the 1k res out of a cb .. lol and he didint use a breadborad .. have fun with it dingle

Im having trouble getting mine to work. I have all the exact parts from radioshack as you mentioned. I tried it 2 ways with your numbering from the first image and no luck, then again with the same instuctions but using the pin numbers from this scematic off of the 555CN box.

could you look at my board and see if you can tell where I went wrong.

Also does this work on the new style controller? could someone point out a good + and - to use, thanks.

You don't have the right timer, because there are no schematics that come with the box.

Your job looks good, if it were me, id try and solder up some of those contacts, they look a tad on the weak side to me.

I found one difference on my part. My 1K resistor is part no. 271-1339 1K Ohm 1/2W 5% Carbon Film Resistor Vs. sillynuts 271-1321 1K Ohm 1/4 Watt 5% Tolerance Carbon Film Resistor.

would this matter?
