help me fix my PS2 please!

whenever i try to load a disk, it loads for a couple seconds then it stops loading it. i took it apart and cleaned everything and nothing happened. any ideas



and my other ps2 does not read black, or blue back games. and even some silver back games. any ideas on how i can fix that too?

the laser is busted or its out of focus,i recommend replacing it

Mine didnt want to work, your best bet is to open it up and turn the cog around the laser around 5 times which will put the laser closer to the disc . That may help in fixing you problem it did for me.

yup its the laser, if u have old fat ps2, u might try fixing it with the white cog wheel as mention above, or the pot modification. google it  ull find something. if its slim get a new laser at dx (~$10) or do the pot tweak. if its a slim model number 700XX (slim) or v9/10 u have a bad ps2 with laser issues.

Messing with the Pots NORMALLY messed it up even more and doesn't improve anything at all...

its a fat ps2, where can i find a ps2 laser? i gonna go try the turning thing now

ok, i fixed the loading problem, now when i put a disk in it dont spin. what do i do ????
