because the psp 3000 is now officialy announced by sony,...

release date: 15th of oktober (europe) for 199 euro (bundle pack) and 169 euro seperate

Sure, now it's announced by Sony, but we already knew it was going to be announced/real.

And now I don't have enough money atm for it. =[ Hopefully it's not REALLY going to cost $250 over here in the US and I may get it.

So it'll be pretty much the same by the looks. So hopefully the phat or slim battery will be able to fit into this psp so it can be Pandoraized.

You can't pandora this one. They jsut came out with a new motherboard for the slim. The motherboard only accepts ipls digitally signed by Sony. It has NOTHING to do with the battery, it's the motherboard that is the deciding factor if it can be pandora'd.

Betting my life on this new psp having the same security measures on it.

You can't. It's impossible right now for the new motherboard, so it is definitely for the new psp.

well, if they sell the case of that new psp 3000, it'll be real cool. internally=psp 2000, exterior=psp 3000. no one will know the difference.

unless you play it under the sunlight. cant see a thing.the mic can be modded into the psp like some other people here.

if someone manages to place the insides of a psp-2000 in a psp-3000, then fair one. but all we need to do is give it time and someone will hack it. i'm thinking DaX or Gen Team would be the first to attempt it.

well, idk about that. they seem to have a very solid security system. it could be really hard to find a way around this,this time. but,Sony might not even try to prevent hackers from hacking it. to be honest with you,the psp sales went up the sky because of homebrews and dumped games. if it wasn't for all the exploits devs made,the psp would be a failure,seriously. most of the improvements are probably in its software rather than the hardware. that'll really f*** up the cracking process.

whatever just wait for some time after it comes out i can bet that in like 3 or 4 months there would be a psp 3000 disassemblt tut (if its not the same as 2000) and there would be a CFW installer/flasher i think that Alek, team m33, and others have already found a way to get cfw on ta-088v3 the only thing is that they are gonna keep it for some time they might wana wait till release of psp 3000 and see if it would work on that ..... thats what happened during slims release they had already discovered pandora but they didnt want to release it before psp 2000 but they were forced to as some stupid n00b stole it and sold it in black market...

Although I probably wouldn't open my 3000 either because I've already done it to my phats and slim and now they all have problems xD. The only reason I would open it would be if I had to in order to get custom firmware on it. Not that I really care because my other psps all have cfw

The DAY I got my silver slim I opened it up and stupidly use a magnetic tipped screwdriver. And to this day I still have no clue what the hell I fried on it XD

Its called the PSP 3000, When the PSP 2000 was announced, all the boards at E3 had PSP Slim & Lite on, all the boards at Liepzig said PSP 3000, so it will be called 3000.
