HELP! Sleeper Rapid fire install problem
« on: August 20, 2008, 01:32:11 PM »
:help: so i was soldering on the wires for the sleeper RF kit (from wiredinput) and when I was soldering on the ground wire, a battery terminal popped off  . how do i get the thing back on cuz it doesnt want to go back into the slot even when i melt back the solder from the wire. also has anybody else had issues with the wires consistently coming undone from the PIC, everytime I solder one of the wires to the controller, that wire comes undone from the PIC. its kind of annoying. any help would be greatly appreciated.

what i do is i put a dab of hot glue on the wire near the soldered connection so if there is any tension put on that wire the the soldered wire wont pop off. this is especially handy for when you have to put everything back together, as wires tend to tug a little. hope this helps!

try a hot glue gun to put it back in or use the flux paste it makes things stick

You know what works a lot better than hot glue and isn't as messy... super glue. I've learned that from my PS2 modding days. And you can still peal the wire off if it ever needs removed.

Thanks. Like I said, it's easy with super glue. Anyone could do it.
